Light Sculpture

Today I was trying to make a birthday present for a friend of mine and I thought it would be cool to make some sort of light fixture. I found a vase and some Christmas lights and I had a beautiful image in my head. Well after an hour of work and burning my fingers multiple times I turned out with a hideous thing all lit up. I am not even going to be able to give it to my friend. I hope she doesn't mind receiving a heart felt card a a peacock feather instead!
