9 Volt Battery

Today my parents convinced me that it doesn't hurt to put a 9 volt battery on your toung "it only tingles" Well I found out that it hurts. It feels like something at the dentist. I am not sure what at the dentist but something! I don't really know what else to say other than I feel like an idiot and my tounge is all numb.
